Zachary Berger got his start as a professional designer in Maine during the winter of 1997. Spring was just around the corner and with it came the inspiration for creating landscapes that were not only beautiful but provided extensions of each client's unique lifestyle. , is based in the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire.
Gardening is a passion which began when I was 14, planning and working the family's organic garden throughout my teenage years. At 20, I worked as a farm manager apprentice in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and studied sustainable crop production. After completing college as a horticulture graduate, I spent several years working in the landscape and nursery industry gaining valuable experience. My education, experience and communication skills led me to pursue a career in landscape design, with a special interest in historic properties.
In the fall of 2006, Timothy McFadden joined the firm as a designer. Timothy has a background in library research and administration and is a graduate of the prestigious Landscape Institute at Harvard University. Timothy is particularly skilled with landscape renderings and has an easy-going style with associates and clients.
Our philosophy and practice is to help our clients understand the process of a successful landscape. We talk, brainstorm and form a solid connection with each client. After plans are formed and installed, we teach them what they need to know to keep their gardens looking great.
